Los Angeles Corporate event photography
Corporate event photography captures the attendees, the speakers, and the overall atmosphere of the place. There’s more that goes into planning the photography details before the event than you might realize.
Our team takes any guessing or uncertainty out of the process. We work together in advance before the date of the corporate event. We learn about all the details such as the type of event it is, the audience, the desired outcome of the photographs and how they will be put to use. During the planning process, we will determine the number of photographers that will be needed to make sure there is full coverage of the important details.
To keep things organized, we work together to create a spreadsheet of the timeline of events that need to be photographed, the vip’s to focus on and any other details we need to document during the event.
If the event has more than 5,000 attendees, we highly recommend adding an additional photographer. This will help to ensure that the different speakers and sessions are documented in parallel.
If it is a smaller gathering, such as a team-building retreat, only one photographer is needed. It all depends on the schedule and how many things are going on in parallel. You can add on an additional photographer to have everything covered. Often times, one photographer is documenting candid moments and the other has a setup headshot station where employees can get their headshots updated.
In many of the indoor spaces that host corporate events, the lighting is not the best. We have professional experience with using artificial light to provide the best quality images.
What’s the minimum hours of coverage required for corporate event photography?
For California corporate event photography, there is a 3 hour minimum requirement of event coverage.
Event photography for social media
If your corporate event has a social account that is constantly updated with new content, we recommend getting same day social media teasers as an add-on. What does this mean? We create a shared folder where throughout the day we will upload photos of the events that are going on. This will help keep you social media feed looking fresh, professional and interesting.
Retouching and Editing Corporate Event Photographs
After the corporate event, the photographs will need to be culled, edited and retouched to ensure that they are of the highest quality. What kind of editing happens to the images? Detail editing such as color correction, cropping, and enhancing adjustments so the images are visually pleasing and accurately represent the event.
We always focus to make sure the photos represent true colors, are nicely in focus and have vibrant colors.
While photographing events we often work in environments with challenging lighting. Meaning, strong color cast, high contrast, and unpleasant patterns of the light. We have all of the proper equipment for these kind of environmental things to not get in the way of capturing and delivering high-end photographs.
How many images are delivered for event photography?
Depending on the events that are going on and our photography list, we can photograph anywhere from 50 - 100 photographs per hour. After the event, we download all of the images and select the best ones that we will be editing.
